Larry probably has the equipment.

A Vietnam veteran living in the well-equipped van Vanifesto, Larry is Wong’s friend, protector, mechanic, inventor, and unofficial intelligence service. He expects danger and prepares for it. Wong keeps finding new uses for the preparations.

He often has a useful piece of the answer. His practical help can solve an immediate problem and let the investigation get much farther into trouble.

Larry has principles, genuine skill, and things of his own to protect. Caring about Wong does not guarantee that helping him is a good idea.
